GST registration opens 1st June 2014

Taxable persons who are required to be registered under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) can start registering with Jabatan Kastam from next month.



How to apply

Registrations can either be submitted online or manually.

  • Manual registration
    Manual registrations can be made by downloading and completing the GST 01 application form.
    Completed forms can be submitted to:
    GST Processing Center,
    Royal Malaysian Customs Department,
    22, Jalan SS 6/3,
    Kelana Jaya,
    47301 Petaling Jaya,
    Selangor.
  • Online application
    Applications can be made by accessing Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) portal on gst.customs.gov.my, and clicking on "Register for GST". Note that this portal will only be accessible once registration officially opens.

Once the registration is approved, you will receive an Acknowledgement Receipt Number, effective date of registration, first taxable period, subsequent taxable period, station code and name, and optionally a branch or division reference number.
