Books zero rated

All books have been classified as zero rated.

Initially, only the following categories of books were zero rated under Goods & Services Tax (Zero rated supply) 2014:

  • Dictionaries
  • Encyclopedias
  • Reference works
  • Religious books

The Finance Ministry has extended the zero rating to all types of reading materials except magazines

e-Books are however not included in this category
